NAPLP students have special internship opportunities

All NAPLP students participate in the SIWP Internship Program. NAPLP students will work with our team to find an opportunity that fits with their professional goals. They are welcome to explore any and all internships in the DC area. However, NAPLP partners with several offices and organizations around town to place many of our students in internships related to Native policy and politics.

There organizations include, but are not limited to:

National Congress of American Indians

The United States Senate (through the Senate Democratic Diversity Iniative and Minority Leader Reid's office)

White House Initiative on American Indian & Alaska Native Education (Department of Education)

The Department of the Interior/Bureau of Indian Affairs

Senator Mazie Hirono of Hawaii

National Indian Education Association

National Indian Health Board
